Hi, I'm Sandra!

About Me

I am a multidisciplinary creative professional, blending graphic design, marketing, and full-stack development. During my graphic design studies, I gained exposure to HTML and CSS while learning about website building on WordPress, and I loved it. Coding lingered in the back of my mind as something I wanted to learn, but I didn’t yet have the confidence.

One of my proudest achievements is winning the Perth Advertising and Design Club Student Skulls Award for digital design UX/UI in 2021 - a pivotal experience that ignited my passion for UX. I enjoy delving into how user journeys inform digital design and leveraging UX design as a tool for inclusivity, particularly for women, and culturally and neurodiverse people.

Before diving into coding, I honed my skills in crafting visually stunning designs as a freelance graphic designer. I discovered She Codes through my sister, who was part of the 2022/23 She Codes Plus Cohort. After attending a She Codes One-day workshop, I caught the coding bug! This experience renewed my confidence in my ability to learn how to code.

I am passionate about both design and coding, aiming to combine my knowledge and skills from both industries to create impactful and meaningful digital experiences.
